Dear reader
I’m on the road to visit the location for this year’s Naive Yearly. More on that soon-ish. What I want to share now is what Uno said as the airplane lifted off the runway:
»Goodbye, Greece. We love you. Many kisses. Bye bye.«
It’s equally touching how Uno embraces Greece as his home and how he speaks to his environment. He talks to trees, flowers, and animals as if they were his friends. And he does it with such a natural confidence that it makes me think they all might be his friends.
The other day, after planting basil, mint, sage, tomatoes, and sunflowers on our balcony, I took Uno to the mountain behind our house. As soon as we arrived, Uno said, »Hey Mountain, we have a garden now. We didn’t have one before, but now we have one.«
