Dear reader
Can you guess when I’m writing this?
Yes, you are right. Despite my best efforts—including skipping last week’s newsletter—it’s Saturday evening once again. Uno and Ana are asleep, and I’m here in the backroom, gathering tomorrow’s links for you and the three (nearly four) thousand others who receive this email.
On Tuesday, the newsletter turns six years old. I still remember reaching that first year of weekly issues—I couldn’t believe my achievement. The same for the second year. Now, it feels different. Writing is easier. I take it less personally. It feels as if the newsletter has taken on a life of its own. I’m very proud of that and of how it continues to evolve.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Remember you can always reply to the email and that last-minute deadlines are okay, too.
With care
Kristoffer

»Welcome to the tadi web. A small and simple part of the normal web. The tadi web is built with a slippy mindset. We try to be as 'slippy' as possible. Being slippy means you're not stuck.«

Imagine a travel journal that also serves as a test for an e-ink camera, made and written by the lovely Kaloyan Kolev.

A few weeks ago, I shared a link to a site that offers »websites, done cheap.« Recently, a reader wrote back to say they’d ordered one—and I’m happy to report the result is ☆☆☆☆☆.

Congrats to USB Club for launching to the public.
Ever since I interviewed the co-founder Yatú Espinosa, I’ve kept a USB on my keychain. It’s both practical and philosophical. I’m now a one-person network. If we meet, we can form an inter-network, and you can access my files, including a folder packed with entertainment for Uno.

Help me keep the web alive by adding to the Poetic Web Calendar and the Call for Participation channels. I might also feature what you connect in this newsletter :)

I had a conversation with Renee Zachariou about digital gardens, permacomputing, and some of my favorite web projects. It’s now published—in French.
